Tried and Tested Candidates

A first-class cybersecurity team begins with great people

More than a Job

Our students love working in infosec, and being a part of the cybersecurity community. You won’t find more passionate practitioners anywhere in the world.

Team Players

Fullstackers have spent hundreds of hours learning modern cybersecurity tools and best practices…working individually and in groups. They know how to hit the ground running, and work productively on a team.

Problem Solvers

Our graduates are experienced working on both red and blue teams. They know how to think analytically and perform well in challenging situations.

Creativity is Key

Graduates from Fullstack Cyber Academy are well-rounded infosec practitioners, but take a look at their talks and POC’s to see just how creative they can be too.

How it works

How it works

Just before students graduate, they get on stage and give their first-ever cyber talk in front of a live audience. They do a deep dive into a topic they learned while in the bootcamp, and give a live demo. Kind of like a talk at DEF CON!
The event is called Cyber Talks Day, and it happens every month or so. We stream each event live on YouTube, so you can watch from the comfort of your office (or watch the replay later).

This means that you can preview students that you might want to meet at Launch Day, which happens three days later.
On Launch Day, you join us on campus at the NYC Cyber Center, and do a speed round of interviews with the students you liked the most.

This means that you get first access to our graduates, so you can hire them...before someone else does!

Contribute to the curriculum

What cyber skills do you want us to teach our students? Let us know by reviewing the curriculum and chiming in with your ideas.

The cyber bootcamp's curriculum is in a private repo on GitHub, that is accessible by our hiring partners.

All curriculum content is written in a standard format, that makes it easily portable across different kinds of learning platforms.

This architectural design means that hiring partners have real-time, keyword-searchable access to the curriculum, so they always know what we're teaching, and can offer suggestions.

The repo also becomes a valuable reference tool for the cyber professionals that work at our partner companies, because it includes educational content on the most current cyber threats (that is frequently updated).

We encourage hiring partners to make contributions to the curriculum and submit pull requests, and help us build the most state-of-the-art cyber curriculum available anywhere.

Other contributors to the curriculum include our academic partners, including leading universities like Columbia, Cornell Tech and NYU. This work is coordinated through the Cyber NYC Applied Learning Initiative.

Engage with the community

Hiring Partners are invited to attend occasional meet-ups in the Cyber Center. This is where we introduce new parts of the curriculum, and ask for feedback on them. We also give live demos of new capabilities in the cyber range. Meet-ups are a great opportunity for partners to meet each other in a relaxed setting, and geek out on infosec stuff.

YouTube channel

We invite interesting cyber professionals to join us for podcast interviews and guest lecture slots on campus. These are live streamed on our YouTube channel, and shared on social media. If you’ve got a cool idea for a talk, come give it on our stage!

  • “Resumes don’t tell the whole story. They never have and never will. The hiring event allows employers to connect with the true personalities & talents behind the computer screens in a relaxed no pressure atmosphere.”

    Jared Novick, CEO at BitVoyant

  • "The Fullstack Hiring Day is an easy and organized way to meet junior tech talent. Instead of being thrown into a sea of bodies like other bootcamp hiring days, I was matched with students pre-screened for my hiring needs.”

Greg Lamp Co-Founder & CTO at Yhat
