Technology today is more accessible than it’s ever been—but it’s also more of a liability.
Government-sponsored bots disrupted
Hackers continue to obtain sensitive consumer information.
Run-of-the-mill phishing scams can cost U.S. businesses nearly $1.6 billion in a single year.
So it’s no surprise that businesses are spending more on cybersecurity now than ever before.
Projected value of U.S. cybersecurity
industry by 2023
Right now, companies aren’t able to find enough qualified entry-level cybersecurity professionals to hire, leaving the U.S. government, countless businesses, and many individuals exposed to cyber attacks.
The City of New York and the Fullstack Cyber Bootcamp are looking to change that.
What’s in it for you?
Entry-level cybersecurity professionals in New York City make an average of $85,000 a year—70% more than the median income in NYC.
Lots of different companies—from those that specialize in cybersecurity to consumer brands or media companies looking to protect their subscribers—are hiring in NYC.
How the Fullstack Cyber Bootcamp works
The Fullstack Cyber Bootcamp is a partnership between the City
of New York and Fullstack Academy—now one of the nation’s most
established coding bootcamps, originally founded right here in
New York City nearly a decade ago.
It’s a full-time 17-week training program that requires no previous cybersecurity experience or knowledge. It combines technical cybersecurity skills training and hands-on experience in simulated cyber attacks with professional development like resume help, networking guidance, and an exclusive in-house job fair for students.
|Foundations Phase||Junior + Senior Phases|
|4 weeks||13 weeks|
|Off-campus||On-campus in NYC|
|Part-time||10am to 6:30pm daily|
This cybersecurity bootcamp is part of the city’s $100-million-dollar Cyber NYC initiative that aims to make New York a global leader in cybersecurity, just as we are in finance, tech, and more.
